Our online and face to face groups offer a high intensity exercise class for people with mild to moderate PD. Both classes are led by a neuro physio.

PD Zoom

A twice weekly online class for people with mild to moderate PD.

Mondays and Thursdays 3.30-4.10pm
£28 monthly fee (enables you to join all classes throughout the month).

Started by Jo Tuckey and Helle Sampson in 2020 as a free trial during the first lockdown, we have been delighted by the continued success of our online PD Zoom classes. Helle runs the classes and plans to continue for as long as there is demand for them.

Please contact us for further information.

PD Fit @ Jacksons Lane

A face to face weekly class for a maximum of 10 participants. Like PD Zoom it is a high intensity exercise class for people with mild to moderate PD. It is usually led by neuro physio, Emma Stebbings.

Due to the small class size and being face to face, participants benefit from more personal attention and feedback than our online group. An onsite café also gives the opportunity for group members to meet either before or afterwards.

Why are we running these classes?

Health benefit:
Parkinson’s UK recommends exercise for people with both mild and progressing symptoms. The aim is to promote strength, balance, posture and flexibility as well as helping sleep, tiredness, mood and mental health.

Effortful vigorous whole body exercise is particularly recommended at this stage and often not addressed in more traditional strength and fitness programmes. PD Zoom and PD Fit @ Jacksons Lane aim to address this need.

What do I have to do to take part?

In order to participate safely and get the most out of the exercises, we need to ensure that our classes are appropriate for you, so please get in touch.
